O1面签2023

地点：北京朝阳美国大使馆

总结：感觉很漫长，但面签超顺利！

预约的早晨8点，7点半到的领事馆。

1. 下了车就被拦住，去对面存包（只能带着材料进去，任何电子产品、食物、水都不可携带）

2. 刷身份证开始在寒风中排队，清晨的北京似乎比夜里的北京还要冷...

3. 一个穿着军大衣的小哥检查护照、DS-160、缴费条码，他会很认真地比对你是不是本人。

4. 跑过一段长廊，继续排队，两个工作人员招呼你再次掏出护照和DS-160，然后在护照的背面贴上预约码。（我在给护照脱塑料壳时，可能是手和壳都冻硬了，啪地就把壳掰碎了）

5. 进到楼里安检（终于不在寒风中了！！），只带了材料的话，安检就很顺利啦。

6. 跑进另一栋楼里继续排队，到达一楼的窗口，检查基础材料：护照、I-797、照片。（这里我因为照片不合格，收获一张绿单子，出了使馆花100块拍了两张巨丑的照片，然后再排队进来... 😓）再次检查材料时，工作人员仔细检查了当初预约时填写的表格，说我把护照类型填错了，应该是“regular”，而不是“offical”。还有petitioner名字的问题，说之后入境可能会因为不一致而进小黑屋... 但好在问题不大，他帮我修改了文件，就可以去下一个窗口啦。（是很友好的大叔啊！）

7. 仍旧在一楼，录指纹。

8. 排队上二楼面签！我遇到是一位亚裔面孔的面签官，他管我要了护照和I-797，接着问我从事的领域，然后在电脑面前敲敲打打，问了一句是第一次申请O1吗，我说是的。接着就approve了！除去排队，真正的面签可能才两三分钟。😆

从使馆出来感觉经历了一辈子，看看手机其实还不到十点。

取护照的地方就是中信银行，面试当天内可以修改取件地址，建议改成近一点的中信银行。

携带身份证，UID号码（8位数字，在预约单上有），以及现金77！

1. What do you do for work?

I’m working as a layout artist for animated films.

essentially translate the script and the director’s vision into artwork, producing a series of images that work as a roadmap for the rest of the production team 

In 3D animation, the layout artist is responsible for determining the camera movements and placement of the characters. We act like the cameramen or directors of photography in a virtual space.

2. What would you be doing in the US?

Currently, I'm in the production of two animated short films in the US, and also working for Pinta Studio in Beijing. 

As for Disney, I just completed their latest project, and I'm expecting to go back for another one around February. I'm still waiting for the written confirmation, but I do have employment verification available.

(Yeah, the current contract with Disney is ended, because I finished the project.)

3. Explain why you are extraordinary

I’m the critical artist for 3 feature films and a lot of animated short films. They all got selected for international film festivals and won prizes. You can find details of the projects in the petition letter.

There are also some publications talking about my recognition in the industry.

My salary is above the average
